Erasmus in action – A visit from Spain!
Visit of Teachers from Spain to Our School – A Unique International Experience
This week, we had the pleasure of hosting teachers from Spain at our school. Our guests came from IES Acebuche in Torredonjimeno. This visit is part of the Erasmus program, which facilitates the exchange of experiences among teachers from different countries. Earlier this year, our teachers visited the school in Spain to learn about the local education system. Now it was time for the return visit.
The Spanish teachers had the opportunity to observe classes taught by our educators. It was a valuable experience for both the guests and our students. One of the Spanish teachers even conducted a Spanish language class. This allowed our students to improve their language skills while interacting with a native speaker.
During the visit, our students took on the role of guides in Krakow. They showed the guests the most interesting places in the city. It was a great opportunity for practical use of both Spanish and English. The teachers from Spain also visited the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. This was a very moving lesson in history for them.
Another interesting point in the program was a visit to the Cogiteon Science Center. The guests were able to see modern methods of teaching science subjects. An important part of the visit was also a meeting with school psychologists. Teachers from both countries exchanged experiences related to working with students.
There was also time for a trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. This place always makes a huge impression on visitors.
The Erasmus program is an incredibly valuable experience. It strengthens international cooperation and allows for the exchange of good practices. Such visits broaden the knowledge and skills of both teachers and students. As a result, our lessons become even more inspiring.
More information about the program can be found here: Erasmus Project Information.
A Wonderful Experience!
The visit of teachers from Spain was an incredibly inspiring and valuable experience for all participants. The shared exchange of knowledge, discovery of new teaching methods, and exploration of different cultures enriched us as a school and as a community. Such meetings build lasting relationships and open doors for future collaboration, which is invaluable for educational development.
