Another Speaker of the Month at Kolegium Europejskie!

At Kolegium Europejskie, we once again had the pleasure of hosting an exceptional guest speaker as part of our “Speaker of the Month” series. This time, our guest was Grzegorz Iwan, Director at Cisco and leader of the Program Management Office team within Professional Services for the EMEA region.

The meeting was an extremely valuable opportunity for our students to gain insight into the inner workings of one of the largest and most recognisable technology companies in the world. Cisco has been setting standards in the IT industry for years, and our cooperation with this organisation allows us to bring students even closer to the realities of the global job market.

Our guest is an experienced leader and manager with many years of practice in the technology industry. Throughout his career, he has held various roles across sales, engineering, operations, and project management. He gained experience both at Hewlett-Packard and Cisco, which allowed him to develop a broad international professional perspective.

During the presentation titled “Career in a Technology Company,” Grzegorz Iwan shared his professional journey — from his first steps in the IT industry to leading teams within global organisational structures. Students had the opportunity to learn which skills are essential in an international environment, what challenges technology project leaders face, and what development opportunities are offered by the largest companies in the IT sector 🌐

Particular interest was also drawn to practical examples from his professional experience, which showed what working in a global organisation really looks like – full of dynamic change, cross-cultural collaboration, and responsibility for projects delivered on an international scale.

The meeting was not only an inspiring insight into the world of new technologies, but also an important element of career guidance for our students. Thanks to such events, they can better understand the diverse career paths offered by the IT industry, as well as the importance of passion, commitment, and continuous development.
