Congratulations to PreIB2 for Their Success in CANSAT!

We are proud to announce that the group of students from PreIB2 has qualified for the next stage of the prestigious CANSAT competition. Our talented students representing our school are: Jan Wichary, Patrick Drwal, Mateusz Małyska, Nicolas P., Maksym N., Mayan Sarkar, Ethan Manjooran, Maksymilian P., Filip Mazza, Joanna Czerniejewska, Filip Nessler.

This remarkable achievement is a continuation of last year’s extracurricular activities within the Science Club, led by our wonderful teachers, Ms. Małgorzata Walczak and Mr. Grzegorz Całko. Thanks to their dedication and passion for science, students had the opportunity to gain unique experiences and develop skills in engineering, programming, and data analysis.

What is the CANSAT Competition?

CANSAT is an international competition organized by the European Space Agency (ESA) that challenges students to design, build, and launch a small satellite simulation in the form of a soda can. It is an exciting endeavor that not only develops technical skills but also allows participants to apply the scientific knowledge they have gained in school.

Students must navigate a complex process of designing, building, and testing their satellite, which will collect and analyze data during flight. This competition gives young technology enthusiasts a unique opportunity to grow in areas such as engineering, physics, programming, data analysis, and teamwork. Each team must not only create their device but also master the art of project management, technical problem-solving, and presenting their results.

A Significant Achievement for Our School

Qualifying for the next stage of the CANSAT competition is an incredible honor and a testament to the hard work of our students. Participating in this prestigious international event is not only a challenge but also an excellent opportunity to expand scientific horizons and gain practical experience that can be crucial in future scientific and technological careers.

This achievement is also a milestone in our school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) initiatives, which aim to support students in developing interests and skills in the fields of science and technology. We are immensely proud of our students’ commitment and determination, and we look forward to seeing their results in the next stage of the competition!

Once again, congratulations and we wish you further success!
