Help for Flood Victims
Help for Flood Victims – Our School Supports Those Affected by the Flood
The past days have brought drastic changes to the lives of many Poles. In some areas of our country, floods have caused significant material losses and personal tragedies. One of the hardest-hit areas was Lądek-Zdrój, where residents had to face a tremendous force that destroyed their homes, belongings, and, in some cases, their livelihoods (see more: https://tvpworld.com/82448716/poland-faces-flood-waves-during-aftermath).
Our school, wanting to support those affected, immediately engaged in relief efforts. Thanks to the wonderful initiative of the preIB class 2C, various initiatives were organized to collect as many funds as possible for the flood victims. Students, parents, and teachers actively participated in fundraising, which included selling delicious homemade baked goods and sweets. Our cake stand attracted not only the school community but also local residents, who willingly supported our effort by purchasing treats.
Thanks to the generosity of many individuals and the hard work of our amazing volunteers, we managed to raise an impressive amount of money, which will be used to assist flood victims. The collected funds also allowed us to purchase essential supplies that have already been delivered to those in need. We are proud to announce that we managed to send 44 cartons filled with cleaning supplies, gloves, trash bags, cloths, and rubber boots, which were delivered to Lądek-Zdrój.
However, this is not the end of our efforts! Soon, our school theater “Wielka Improwizacja” will join the action. The team is preparing a special performance titled “Reminiscences,” which will be staged on October 15 in our school auditorium. The proceeds from ticket sales will be entirely donated for further assistance to flood victims. This is a wonderful opportunity to support those who have suffered while enjoying an unforgettable experience watching a unique performance.
We sincerely thank everyone who has already supported our campaign and encourage participation in upcoming initiatives. Together, we can achieve a lot and help those who need us the most!
