Charity Market at Our School – Together for the Children of Alma Spei Hospice
A Tradition That Unites Us All
At our school, the Charity Market has become a beautiful tradition. For six years now (the tradition was started by Ms. Angelika Shatilova during the covid pandemic) the school community – students, teachers, parents, and staff – come together to join forces and help those in need. This year’s edition took place on December 13 and was a true celebration of solidarity, creativity, and the magic of the holiday season.
All the funds raised during the event were donated to support Alma Spei, a hospice for children that provides care for terminally ill children and their families. You can learn more about the hospice’s mission on their website: www.almaspei.pl.
Handicrafts, Fashion, and Performances – The Magic of Charity Market
At the Charity Market, there was something for everyone. The booths, prepared by students and teachers, featured festive decorations, handmade jewelry, and unique holiday cards. There was also plenty of delicious food, specially prepared by students for the occasion. The scent of homemade pastries and holiday treats filled the entire school!
This year’s Charity Market made history with a special event – a fashion show at our school, titled „100 Years of Fashion.” The students drew inspiration from various styles of the 20th and 21st centuries. As young designers, they created their own outfits, which they showcased on the runway. Weronika Gniady and Kacper Słodyczka were the runway directors and thanks to their dedication and talent, as well as the support of Ms. Kasia Grudniewska, the fashion show was a visual delight that will remain in the memories of participants for a long time.

Artistic performances were also a highlight of the event. The audience had the chance to enjoy:
– a dynamic hip-hop performance,
– beautifully performed holiday songs,
– an incredible violin performance.
A Raffle Full of Excitement
One of the biggest hits of this year’s Charity Market was the raffle, which drew tremendous interest. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we were able to offer exceptional prizes that thrilled both younger and older participants. All the proceeds from the raffle – like those from other activities – were donated to Alma Spei to support children in need.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors for their support:

Success Thanks to the Whole Community
Organizing such a large event requires immense commitment from many individuals. Special thanks go to Ms. Kasia Oziębła, who coordinated the entire Charity Market with incredible energy and passion. The support of Mrs. Estelle Szafran-Florian, Ms. Klaudia Pasieka, and Ms. Kasia Grudniewska ensured that every booth, performance, and decorative detail was perfectly executed.
School staff also played a crucial role:
– Mrs. Gosia (our irreplaceable school helper) – who created the festive atmosphere by purchasing stands and lights for the Christmas trees,
– Mr. Grzesiu (school helper) and the technical team – who installed the Christmas trees in the auditorium, creating the perfect backdrop for the event.
We must also acknowledge the parents of our students, whose support was invaluable. Mrs. Marta Mendel, mother of Tosia from class IB1, provided beautiful Christmas trees, and Mrs. Beata Andryszko, mother of Maciek from class IB2, assisted with decorating the auditorium.
Thank You!
This year’s Charity Market was an enormous success. Thanks to teamwork, dedication, and support, we created an event full of magic and joy, while also raising funds to help those in greatest need.
It is through such initiatives that we build a community full of empathy, creativity, and a desire to do good. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this beautiful event possible in any way. Together, we can achieve so much!
We look forward to seeing you at future editions of the Charity Market!
