ERASMUS+ 2025/2026 – A YEAR FULL OF TRAVEL, ENCOUNTERS, AND NEW IDEAS

The 2025/2026 school year at Kolegium Europejskie was anything but quiet. There were trips, visits, new schools, new cities, conversations, shared lessons, projects, host families, and countless situations that required stepping outside one’s comfort zone.

And that is exactly what we love most about Erasmus+.

Our teachers took part in mobility activities that included both job shadowing and teaching assignments in France, Spain, and Italy. In La Baule, they observed classes and conducted their own lessons, gaining insight into the French education system while planning future initiatives with partner schools. In Cáceres, they explored bilingual education, the CLIL methodology, approaches supporting student and teacher well-being, and innovative practices in arts and vocational education. In Tarquinia, they discovered a school culture built on partnership and project-based learning, while in Cannes they observed how young people are practically prepared for professional life and learned about solutions that support inclusive education.

Each mobility experience was different, but they all shared the same goal: to view education from a new perspective, exchange experiences, and return with ideas that could be applied in everyday school life.

There was also plenty happening on the students’ side.

In Poppi, in the heart of Tuscany, our secondary school students worked alongside their Italian peers, attended classes and workshops, explored the local culture, and lived with host families.

In France, a group of 17 students participated in a unique programme prepared by our partner school in La Baule. The highlight was a series of sailing lessons on the Atlantic Ocean – an innovative educational experience through which students developed teamwork, responsibility, and independence. The programme also included school activities, stays with host families, and opportunities to discover the culture of the region.

A particularly memorable experience was the month-long mobility of two students in Andalusia. For four weeks, the girls attended a Spanish school, lived with host families, and functioned every day in a completely new linguistic and cultural environment. It was not only an intensive language-learning experience but also a valuable lesson in independence, responsibility, and openness to the world.

However, Erasmus+ works both ways. Kolegium Europejskie regularly becomes a host school as well.

During the 2025/2026 school year, we welcomed students and teachers from Vienna and Cannes, teachers from Spain and Germany, a school principal from Athens, members of school leadership from Norway, and students from Poppi, Italy. We also hosted Samuel from our partner school in Andalusia for an entire month.

Our guests participated in lessons, workshops, meetings with the school leadership and the Student Council, learned about the IB Programme, and experienced everyday life at our school. Together, we built LEGO robots, organised an International Cultures Day, exchanged experiences, and planned future collaborative projects. Each visit strengthened our partnerships and demonstrated that the best ideas emerge through direct human interaction.

When we look back on this year, we do not simply see a list of trips and dates. We see people who had the courage to travel, host visitors, teach in another language, live with a host family, guide international students around their school, or share their own experiences.

This is how genuine international cooperation is built.

Thanks to you, Erasmus+ at Kolegium Europejskie is not just about projects—it is above all about people, relationships, and inspirations that stay with us long after the mobility ends.

And this is not the end yet! Summer holidays do not mean a break from Erasmus+. Our teachers are currently participating in specialised training courses across Europe, developing their language, digital, teaching, and intercultural competences. From September onwards, they will be putting their newly acquired knowledge and fresh ideas into practice in their work with students.
