Kolegium Europejskie is an international and intercultural high school in Cracow. In this secondary school/high school, students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop. Upon entering the European College, each student must also make a decision regarding their final exams. This is because our students can choose between taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) or the Polish Matura exam. Our school offers a unique opportunity for students seeking a comprehensive education.
Kolegium Europejskie provides a high level of education and a platform for personal development. This is achieved through numerous interest clubs, extracurricular activities, collaboration with universities from around the world, and international exchanges and trips. These activities allow students to deepen their knowledge, pursue their interests, and develop global skills beyond the standard curriculum.
Any student can apply for Pre-IB1 class, regardless of whether they attended primary school in the country or abroad.

IB1 class is the point where students begin a 2-year program that prepares them for the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. It is possible for students from Polish and international high schools, who have not previously studied in a school with the IB program, to join. All students who will have completed the 2nd grade of high school in Poland or abroad, or who have completed 10 years of education in other educational systems, are eligible to apply.
In order to start studies in the IB1 class, students must successfully pass the recruitment process. A necessary condition is the availability of a place in the IB1 class.
During the school year, it is possible to join the IB1 class, but only for students who have already started studies at another IB school in Poland or abroad. Admission is subject to a vacancy and the availability of subjects at KE that the student has already chosen in their previous IB school.

The specific nature of studying in classes with the International Baccalaureate (IB) exam significantly limits the recruitment process for IB2 classes. There is only the possibility of transferring students who have completed the first year of the IB Programme at another school. Transfer is only possible upon fulfilling the following conditions:
– In the first stage, the most important condition must be met. At the European College, we must offer the IB subjects that the candidate chose in their current school.
– It is also crucial that the subjects chosen by the student are taught at the European College at the level (SL/HL) selected by the candidate at their current school.
– If we offer the selected subjects at the appropriate level, the next step is to check if there is a place available for the new student and if their joining the class will not cause a conflict with the existing IB timetable.
– Successful completion of the recruitment process.
Note:
For the transfer of a student between IB schools, the recommended time to start the recruitment process is 3-6 months before beginning studies at the European College.
